Why We Repair?

1. DURABILITY
                                                                                                                                                         Aston Martin Glass Repair

The factory seal on your windscreen can never be duplicated with a windscreen replacement.

2. SAFETY:

In an accident, your vehicle relies on your windscreen in a couple of ways. The passenger airbag uses the windscreen for proper inflation, the roof uses the windscreen for support in the event of a rollover, and when your vehicle crumples up in an accident, the windscreen helps direct the energy of the impact around the passenger compartment.

3. DOWNTIME:

When a customer chooses repair, we are usually able to complete the whole process in 20 minutes. A replacement can leave your vehicle unsafe to drive for up to 10 hours.

4. COST:

If the customer has comprehensive insurance, the repair will be FREE with no loss of no-claims discount. If the customer is only 3rd party insured, the average cost is usually a fraction of the cost of replacement.

5. STRENGTH:

Once we complete a repair, the structural integrity of the windscreen is restored. We give a lifetime guarantee against the windscreen cracking any further. Also all of our repairs are guaranteed to pass the MOT test for the life of the vehicle.

6. CLARITY:

When we repair a break, we guarantee an 80% increase in optical clarity. Many times, depending on the damage we achieve a 95-98% improvement in the appearance of the damaged area.

7. LEAKS:

A repair does not disturb the factory seal so there are never any leaks to worry about.

8. CORROSION:

Often during a replacement, the paint under the seal is scratched and scraped which can result in rust forming around the windscreen.

9. THE ENVIRONMENT:

Currently the laminated glass that is used to make windscreens is not recyclable. The waste from 40 replacements is enough to fill a skip. The waste from 40 repairs will fit in the palm of your hand.

How We Repair

Vehicle windscreens are made out of laminated glass. This is basically two sheets of glass heat formed with a poly-vinyl interlayer (PVB) to create strength and rigidity. A stone striking the windscreen at speed will create damage. Using our patented state of the art equipment, we are able to repair this damage. We do this by firstly cleaning up the loose glass in the damaged area. Completely drying out the damage of all moisture. We then create a vacuum in the damaged area and inject clear windscreen repair resin into the damaged area. This resin is then cured using our state of the art curing system and polished to give a nice clean finish.

Legally, we are not allowed to describe our repairs as invisible but our repairs are typically a minimum 80% improvement on the original damage. Customer satisfaction is always high on our list of priorities and we only ever charge if the customer is completely satisfied with the repair.

We are not committed to equipment from one manufacturer, but prefer to buy the "best" that is available for each discipline from a broad spectrum of suppliers. This gives us flexibility to change with the times and constantly upgrade our systems, as new and improved versions become available.

Insurance

65% of our work is carried out directly for the insurance companies. What this means is that subject to insurance cover, our customers do not have to pay a penny for the work we carry out. This is because the insurance companies have a policy of repairing whenever possible as opposed to replacing windscreens. This policy creates a saving of millions of pounds each year and is becoming quite heavily promoted.

Some Insurance companies do charge a small excess on a repair, but it is much higher for a replacement, so all your customer has to do is sign a certificate of satisfaction. Additionally, having their windscreen repaired does not affect their no-claims bonus. Effectively most of the time, the repairs are completely FREE-OF-CHARGE to the customer.

Third-party Customers

We keep our Windscreen Repairs at a low cost to our third-party insured customer's. We charge £35 for one stone chip repair and £45 for multiple repairs to one windscreen all repairs are subject to VAT.
